Windows 365 Cloud PCs
Best Practices & Vendor Solutions
Microsoft offers Windows 365, a cloud-based PC service that delivers a full, personalized Windows operating system experience to users on any device.
Windows 365 operates by creating virtual "Cloud PCs" that users connect to remotely via the Windows 365 app, Remote Desktop, or a web portal.
Once connected, the experience mirrors a local Windows installation, with all processing handled in the cloud. IT administrators provision these Cloud PCs through Microsoft Endpoint Manager or similar tools, assigning configurations based on user needs—such as CPU, RAM, and storage.
The service supports both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Data is stored securely in the cloud, and users can pick up where they left off across devices, thanks to persistent sessions and synchronization features.
