Application Management in the Age of Zero Trust

In the age of Zero Trust, secure application management isn’t optional — it’s mission-critical.

Liquidware enables application management in the age of Zero Trust through its FlexApp solution, which integrates advanced security features and dynamic application delivery to align with Zero Trust principles—explicit verification, least privilege access, and assuming breach.

In the feature video webinar learn how Liquidware FlexApp empowers IT and security teams to modernize application delivery without compromising speed, user experience, or security.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Why traditional application delivery is now a security liability.
  • How FlexApp aligns with the Five Pillars of Zero Trust.
  • Real-world examples of modern, secure Application Lifecycle Management in action.

FlexApp Zero Trust Design

FlexApp v6.8.6 introduces integrated OAuth support, allowing seamless integration with Microsoft Entra ID. This enables organizations to enforce granular access controls, ensuring only validated users can access applications, even in offline scenarios.

OAuth ensures that applications lacking inherent OAuth support still comply with Zero Trust by preventing unauthorized or deactivated accounts from accessing them, aligning with the “never trust, always verify” principle.

FlexApp allows precise control over application access at the user or group level, supporting the least privilege principle. Administrators can assign or revoke access rights instantly, ensuring only authorized users access specific applications. This capability is critical for compliance-heavy industries like federal agencies, healthcare, and finance, where strict access controls are mandatory.

Dynamic Application Delivery

FlexApp detaches application delivery from the operating system, reducing image sprawl and enabling just-in-time app deployment. This minimizes vulnerabilities by keeping applications updated and isolated, reducing the attack surface.

The Offline FlexApp and FlexApp One features enable secure application delivery in disconnected environments, maintaining Zero Trust security. Applications are delivered as self-contained EXE files, ensuring functionality without network dependency while still enforcing OAuth-based access controls.

Integration with platforms like Microsoft AVD App attach, Citrix Web Studio, and Omnissa Workspace One ensures compatibility across diverse environments, enhancing flexibility without compromising security.

Automated Packaging and Micro-Isolation

FlexApp Automated Packaging 1.5 streamlines application management by automating packaging processes, ensuring applications are up-to-date and secure. Micro-Isolation technology prevents application conflicts by isolating dependencies, reducing vulnerabilities and supporting legacy and modern apps in secure environments.

FlexApp provides detailed reporting on application usage, enabling transparency and traceability—key pillars of Zero Trust. Administrators can monitor user behavior and activity patterns to ensure compliance and detect anomalies.

Integration with Stratusphere UX offers real-time and historical insights into application performance, supporting proactive issue resolution and cyber response workflows in secure environments like air-gapped networks. FlexApp supports a wide range of platforms, including Citrix CVAD, VMware Horizon, Microsoft AVD, Windows 365, and physical PCs, ensuring consistent Zero Trust security across hybrid and cloud workspaces.

By combining these features, Liquidware’s FlexApp empowers organizations to manage applications efficiently while adhering to Zero Trust security mandates. It reduces complexity, enhances agility, and ensures robust protection against evolving threats, making it a critical tool for modern digital workspace management.
